CNMC thoughts....

So We've been home from the Catholic New Media Conference for a week now. I just wanted to share with you some of my thoughts and notes from the conference....
One of my favorite aspects of the conference were the people. These are people who know their “techy stuff” AND their faith! What a joy to be able to share a weekend with people gathered together with two of the same loves: Our Catholic Church and New Media. It was such a good mix of people: with a range from a cloistered monk with a pad of paper, to a web engineer with his Mac, iPhone, and iPad all out at the same time! It’s a perfect example in itself of the power of social networking, bringing people with a common mission together in ways never before.
Our constant reminder throughout the whole weekend was: we can be the most “connected” person in the universe, but if we aren’t keeping Christ at the center of our lives, our “connectedness” is worth nothing. We were challenged, as media apostles, to make our “real lives” (Life outside the internet) authentic and Christ-filled before trying to evangelize anyone else.

So now we've all returned to the convent, with our heads whirling with ideas and our hearts on fire!
I'm SO excited to see what the Lord has in store! :)
